| All SCE USAtm Mainboards
that support DMA133 IDE interface are shipped with one 80-conductor
IDE cable. This means that as long as your hard drive is an Ultra
DMA 66, 100, or 133 model, your system will be able to transfer data from/to
your hard drive up to its full potential.
If you do not have an 80-conductor IDE cable or that the hard drive is an older standard IDE hard drive, then the data transfer speed will fall back to the maximum speed of 33MB/second. You may want to purchase one additional 80-conductor cable if you want to connect hard drive(s) to the second IDE channel on your motherboard. |
transfer than the original 33MB/s limit of the standard IDE cable because each line is wrapped around by a ground line to reduce data noise, thus enabling faster data transfer rate -- up to 133MB/s. |
